ALSO expands its Group Management
Ole Eklund is a Danish citizen and holds a degree in business administration and marketing from Copenhagen Business School as well as a bachelor's degree in education from KDAS University College, Skovlunde, Denmark. Ole Eklund held his first positions as Managing Director with Ingram Micro, Magirus and Avnet. In 2008 he moved to ALSO Denmark as Sales Director for Scandinavia and in June 2014 was appointed Managing Director. As a new member of Group Management, Ole Eklund will be responsible for the ALSO companies in Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden as well as continuing as Managing Director of ALSO Denmark.
Stefan Klinglmair is an Austrian citizen and a graduate of the Federal Commercial Academy, Salzburg, Austria. Following positions with Stadlbauer in Austria, in 2007 he joined ALSO Germany GmbH in Straubing as Head of Controlling and in 2009 was appointed Deputy Head of Finance. From 2010 he was Head of Commercial Distribution for the company. In February 2011 he was first appointed to the position of Vice President Consumer Distribution at ALSO in Soest and in August 2012 he was appointed Managing Director. As a member of Group Management, he will be responsible for the companies in Austria, France, Germany, and Switzerland as well as continuing to hold his position as Managing Director of ALSO Germany.
Torben Qvist, formerly Senior Vice President Supply Services and member of Group Management, has notified the Board of Directors of his resignation on account of his wish to refocus his life on Asia. Torben Qvist will hand over his functions on July 1, 2015, but will remain available to the Group in a consulting capacity. After he has left the company, he will support existing customers in Asia with his extensive know-how. He will also be responsible for customer acquisition and the evaluation of new product lines in this region.
Torben Qvist has worked for ALSO for 15 years in various functions. The Board of Directors and Group Management greatly regret his resignation and thank him for his valuable contribution to the development of the company over many years and look forward to counting on his competent collaboration also in the future.
Volkan Weissenberg will take over Torben Qvist's responsibilities as Senior Vice President Supply Services in addition to his function as Vice President Partner Management.
The other responsibilities of Group Management remain unchanged.
