ALSO Group: European Cartel Authority Approves Acquisition of Alpha International B.V.

On completion of its legal examination of the planned acquisition by ALSO Holding AG of the Dutch company Alpha International B.V., Nijmegen, the European Directorate-General of Competition has given its unconditional approval. In 2012, Alpha International B.V. reported revenue of approximately 587 million euros and had around 108 employees. With this acquisition, ALSO aims to strengthen and further develop its expertise in the Supplies business in all countries in which Alpha and ALSO are represented. The company will become a subsidiary of ALSO Holding AG. Ralph Wouters van den Oudenweijer has been appointed Managing Director of Alpha International B.V., ALSO Nederland B.V. and Head of the ALSO Competence Center Printing Supplies. He rapports directly to the CEO of the ALSO-Group. The transaction will be completed by the end of month.
